Qualifications:
Mr. Kamau Muturi holds a Bachelor of Laws Honour Degree (LLB. Hons) from Kenyatta University and is a holder of Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is a Licensed Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Commissioner of Oaths. He is also pursuing his master’s degree at Strathmore University in International Public Finance.
Mr. Muturi is also a Certified Company Secretary duly registered with the Institute of certified Secretaries (ICS).

  1. Part of the team that was advising a listed cement company listed in the Nairobi Securities Exchange on restructuring and raising corporate financing where the debt portfolio was above approximately Kshs. 6.5 billion.
  2. Counsel that represented Kenya Railways in numerous suits filed against construction of the SGR Phase through the Nairobi National Park both in the National Environment Tribunal and in the Environment and Land Court and the Court of Appeal,
  3. Part of the team that represented the consortium of Toyota Tshusho, Kyuden International Corporation and DL Koisagat Ltd in a case before the Public Private Partnerships Petitions Committee on the case
  4. challenging KENGEN’S decision in a Public Private Partnership project for design, supply, construction and commissioning of a 140 MW power project in Olkaria, Nakuru County
  5. Part of the team representing KENGEN in matters challenging procurement of plant, design, supply and installation of Olkaria I units 1,2 and 3 Geothermal Power Plant rehabilitation project.
  6. Representing various banks and financial institutions in multiple claims against parties.
  7. Part of the team that provided Tullow Kenya BV with monthly legal advice and updates in any changes in the legal and regulatory framework in the energy sector in Kenya.
  8. Part of the team that assisted Privatization Commission of Kenya as part of Consortium Led by Ernst & Young in the privatization of five sugar companies in Western Kenya, that is, South Nyanza Sugar Company, Miwani Sugar Company, Muhoroni Sugar Company, Chemilil Sugar Company and Nzoia Sugar Company.
  9. Part of the team that participated in acquisition of a Ugandan branch of a mid-tier bank in Kenya. Assisting in Company Secretarial duties for different companies such as preparation for General Meetings, filing resolutions and various forms of corporate restructuring.
  10. Part of the team that advised and offered legal support to a major telecommunication company in Kenya on legal issues in relation transmission of election results in 2017 general elections.
